Duties and Responsibilities

As a 6th Grade Teacher, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our students’ academic journey and spiritual growth. We are looking for an individual who is:

  • Passionate about teaching in a Christian environment, capable of nurturing students’ faith alongside academic excellence.
  • Adept at planning and executing engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
  • Committed to the holistic development of students, ensuring a balanced growth across physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual domains.
  • Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Effective in communication, building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Proactive in maintaining a well-organized, safe, and inviting classroom environment.

Professional & Personal Qualifications

  • State of Colorado teaching license (or ability to obtain within two years).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
  • Committed to professional and spiritual growth.
  • Demonstrates a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, actively participating in Christian worship and community activities.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Sensitive and responsive to the needs of our community.

Classroom and Administrative Responsibilities

  • Tailor teaching methods to reflect Christian values.
  • Engage in continuous curriculum evaluation and development.
  • Efficiently manage classroom and administrative duties, fostering an optimal learning environment.
  • Participate in and contribute to school functions and activities.

Position Details

This is a full-time, ten-month contract position.

Salary: $40,000 – $55,000 a year
